Phoenix Accomodation

Four Seasons Troon North

The Four Seasons is situated at the renowned Troon North Golf club with its two famous golf courses.  A range of accommodation including rooms, casitas and suites is available situated in buildings spread throughout the grounds.  Troon North is situated at the edge of the urban area (although easily reached via loop 101) so there is a real sense of being in the Sonoran desert here.

If you want a closer experience of the Sonoran desert environment then the Pinnacle Peak hiking trail is close at hand.

As the name suggest this resort is situated in a desert foothill area where the landscape features numerous large granite boulders and rock formations. Situated within a gated residential area this property is in the affluent commuter town of Carefree in the foothills north of Scottsdale.  Some driving will be required to reach the main attractions of Phoenix and Scottsdale (the resort is around 55 minutes north of the airport) but the compensation is the quiet location in the desert.

This property boasts 2 championship level golf courses.

The wigwam is situated to the West side of Phoenix being more or less due West from the airport. The resort originated 80 years ago as a guest ranch having previously been a ranch owned by the Goodyear Company.

There are 3 championship level golf courses here.

Sheraton Wild Horse Pass

Situated at the southern edge of Phoenix the Sheraton is easily reached via I10. The usual resort facilities including 18 holes of golf are on hand. The Rawhide Steakhouse and Western town is adjacent and is worth a visit for cowboy steak in a south western atmosphere complete with live country music.

Arizona Biltmore

The Arizona Biltmore was originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and historically this is where presidents stay when they are in town.  This is a large property with over 700 rooms. The usual resort facilities including 2 golf courses are available.

JW Marriot Camelback Inn

This was the first resort hotel built in Scottsdale in the 1920’s. Updated and expanded over the years the most recent renovation was completed in 2008. The resort is situated on Lincoln drive and the amenities of central Scottsdale are within easy driving distance.

Hyatt Regency Scottsdale at Gainey Ranch

Situated very close to Scottsdale Road this resort’s claim to fame is Gondola rides on the property lake. A gondola ride is complimentary with each main course purchased in the Italian themed restaurant.

Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs

This property provides all suite accommodation.  The Tapatio cliffs resort’s rooms are spread throughout small buildings across the slopes of a hill. There is parking adjacent to rooms but take a map from the bell desk as you will need it. At the very top of the hill is the Different Pointe of View restaurant.  This is one of the top rated fine dining establishments in Phoenix and there are great views over the valley. Planning to have a pre dinner cocktail on the patio at sunset is a must.
